NEW YORK: The Society for Foreign Consuls (SOFC) in New York is preparing to mark a historic milestone as it approaches its 100th anniversary.
The centennial celebration will commemorate a century of diplomatic service, cooperation, and engagement among the foreign consular corps based in New York City.
In this context, the SOFC Executive Committee convened a meeting to deliberate on the upcoming Annual General Assembly and the detailed preparations for the centennial event. The session brought together Consul Generals from various countries who serve on the Society’s Executive Committee.
Among the participants was Mr. Aamer Ahmed Atozai, Consul General of Pakistan in New York. During the meeting, Mr. Atozai highlighted the significance of the SOFC as a platform for fostering mutual understanding and collaboration between the international consular community and local institutions.
He noted that the centennial not only celebrates the Society’s legacy but also reinforces the importance of strengthening diplomatic ties in today’s interconnected world.
The event provided an opportunity for Pakistan to further enhance its engagement with fellow member nations, as discussions also touched upon future initiatives and collective efforts to address global diplomatic challenges.
