WASHINGTON: A recent report presented to the United States Congress has acknowledged Pakistan’s victory over India in the short but intense conflict of May 2025.
The report was submitted by the U.S.–China Economic and Security Review Commission, which evaluates strategic developments involving China.
According to the report, Pakistan gained a decisive advantage in the 7 May 2025 conflict, with China playing a significant supportive role.
The commission states that Pakistan used Chinese technology to shoot down Indian Rafale fighter jets. It further notes that Pakistan benefited from Chinese intelligence support, which enhanced its operational effectiveness during the conflict.
The report also claims that China viewed the Pakistan-India confrontation as an opportunity to test its military systems in real-time conditions.
India, according to the document, allegedly admitted that Pakistan successfully targeted 109 military installations during the conflict. New Delhi has accused China of directly assisting Pakistan throughout the confrontation.
The report’s revelations have sparked new debate in diplomatic and strategic circles, highlighting the shifting geopolitical landscape of South Asia and China’s growing influence in regional security matters.
