PCB Announces Rs1m Reward for Each Hockey Team Player

LAHORE: Federal Interior Minister and Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Mohsin Naqvi has announced a cash reward of Rs1 million for each player of the national hockey team.

The announcement came during a meeting in Lahore between Mohsin Naqvi and national hockey team captain Imad Butt, who congratulated him on being awarded the Nishan-e-Imtiaz. During the meeting, Imad Butt briefed the chairman on issues concerning the revival of hockey and the national team’s participation in the Pro Hockey League.

He also discussed the welfare and rehabilitation concerns of the hockey players.

In response, Mohsin Naqvi not only announced the monetary reward but also assured full support for the players. He stated that the *PCB’s professional medical team* would handle the medical and fitness cases of the hockey players. Moreover, visa issues faced by the players would also be resolved, and PCB’s logistics team would assist them in this regard.

Mr Naqvi assured every possible support for the revival of hockey in Pakistan and said that qualifying for the Pro Hockey League is a great honor. He pledged to play an active role in ensuring the national team’s participation in the upcoming league.
