KARACHI: Pakistan International Airlines said that its flight operation on domestic and international routes had resumed after partial payment against dues.
A spokesman said that the PIA made a payment of Rs220 million to the Pakistan State Oil for the supply of fuel to the PIA planes for two days.
He said the payment to PSO would continue to ensure regular supply of fuel and operation of flights without disruptions.
The spokesperson added that PIA operated a total of 48 flights on Friday that included 32 on international routes.
The national flag carrier has been in dire straits for years due to mismanagement. Most of its revenue is utilized on payment of fuel and salaries to employees.
During the passage of time, the PIA saw thousands of people being inducted into the organization by influential people and political parties.
