Karachi: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced a major new initiative to recruit pilots under its Cadet Pilots Program, aimed at addressing the current shortage of flight crew.
According to official sources, 24 cadet pilots will be recruited under this program. Selected candidates will be hired on a two-year contractual basis. To be eligible, applicants must have completed at least 200 hours of flying and must hold a valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL) issued by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
In addition, all selected cadet pilots will be required to sign a bond equivalent to USD 15,000 as a financial commitment to the airline.
This recruitment drive is part of PIA’s broader efforts to fill its staffing gaps. A separate hiring process for 20 more pilots is already underway.
PIA has advised interested commercial pilots to submit their applications to the Human Resources Department within 15 days.
