KARACHI: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced the resumption of its flight operations to Canada along with a 15 percent discount on tickets, offering relief and convenience to passengers.

The national carrier confirmed that services to Toronto, which had been suspended earlier this month, officially restarted today, September 30.

According to the PIA spokesperson, flight PK-783 is scheduled to depart from Karachi for Toronto today, marking the revival of direct connections between Pakistan and Canada. To further facilitate travelers, the airline is extending a special 15 percent discount on tickets purchased until October 10.

This discounted fare will remain valid for journeys scheduled between September 30 and December 19, allowing passengers flexibility in planning their travel.

The spokesperson also highlighted that PIA was compelled to suspend all Toronto-bound flights from September 13 to September 28 due to a shortage of aircraft.

With additional resources now in place, the airline has resumed operations on this crucial route, aiming to restore passenger confidence and ensure smooth travel for both business and leisure travelers.

This development is expected to significantly benefit Pakistani expatriates, students, and professionals residing in Canada, many of whom rely on PIA for direct connectivity.

The airline’s management expressed optimism that the relaunch of flights combined with the promotional discount would strengthen its position in the transatlantic market and reaffirm its commitment to serving long-haul passengers.
