Pink eye infection spreads to all 36 districts of Punjab
Citizens advised to remain vigilant against viral eye infections.
ISLAMABAD: Punjab Health Department officials on Saturday said the pink eye infection affected over 10,269 more people cases in the past 24 hours.
They said total of 394,795 cases of eye infections had been received form 36 districts of the province so far.
As a result of the spread of the disease, the provincial government has clsoed all educational institutions from Sept 28 to October 2.
Meanwhile, Federal Minister for Health Services Dr. Nadeem Jan advised the citizens to remain vigilant against the viral infections.
Talking to a TV channel, he said government hospitals were on alert to deal with cases of conjunctivitis or pink eye infections and vector-borne diseases like dengue virus
He said the government was working to prepare a comprehensive strategy against the spread of the viral eye infection.
