KP chief minister announces compensation of Rs10m for heirs of each martyr.

‎ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur have expressed deep sorrow over the tragic loss of innocent lives in the Tirah Valley area of Bagh Maidan, where civilians were martyred in a terrorist attack.

‎In an official statement, PM Sharif strongly condemned the incident, declaring that such cowardly acts of terrorism cannot shake the resolve of the nation. He also directed authorities to provide immediate medical assistance to the injured and reiterated his government’s commitment to completely eradicating terrorism.

‎Chief Minister Gandapur also expressed profound grief over the attack and announced a compensation package of Rs10 million for the families of each martyr and Rs2.5 million for each injured individual.

‎He emphasized the provincial government’s dedication to sustainable peace, public safety, and mutual respect in the region. He has summoned a jirga (tribal council) in Peshawar, comprising tribal elders and public representatives, to better understand local concerns and sentiments.

‎Additionally, the government plans to initiate a series of jirgas at divisional and provincial levels starting next week. The Chief Minister instructed local administrations to strengthen public engagement and maintain law and order.
