ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed authorities to ensure uninterrupted gas supply for domestic consumers during the winter season.
Speaking in the National Assembly, Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik said that the Prime Minister had instructed that gas should be available to households from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
The minister added that compared to last year, gas load-shedding had significantly decreased this year. He urged people to report any issues with gas pressure so that they can be resolved promptly.
Malik told the House that around 80,000 to 90,000 complaints were received in November, 70–80% of which were related to OGRA (Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority). These complaints were addressed within 36 hours.
Meanwhile, petroleum companies have requested an increase in gas prices starting from July, highlighting potential future adjustments in tariffs.
