ISLAMABAD: The government has launched a case assignment and management system to provide what it claimed transparent, efficient and speedy justice to litigants.
The system was launched by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at a function in Islamabad. Speaking on the occasion, he said the initiative will go a long way to address grievances of litigants and provide justice in a reasonable time frame. He called for collective efforts to transform Pakistan on modern lines and compensate the past losses and gaining dividends in future.
The prime minister said he also held a meeting with the chief justice of Pakistan and requested him for speedy decisions based on merit in pending cases.
Country Representative of United Nations Office on Drugs and Crimes Troels Vester expressed support to the government and Ministry of Law and Justice for introducing modern technology to the governance. He commended the leadership of Prime Minister Sharif for governance reforms to modernize country’s justice system.
