PM pays tribute to armed forces during visit to frontlines

Says Pakistan’s defenders extinguished India’s unprovoked aggression with unmatched precision and resolve.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif received a comprehensive briefing on the conduct of Operation Bunyanum Marsoos and the current operational preparedness of the vorps during his visit to Pasrur Cantonment, Sialkot, today.

The operation formed a key part of the larger military campaign, Marka-e-Haq.

The Prime Minister was accompanied by  Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, the Defence Minister, and was welcomed on arrival by Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir,  Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, and the corps vommander Gujranwala.

During the visit, the Prime Minister commended the armed forces for their exceptional bravery and professionalism. He interacted with officers and soldiers at the frontlines, praising their high morale, readiness, and unwavering dedication to the defence of the nation.

In his remarks, the Prime Minister stated, “The valiant Armed Forces of Pakistan, fortified by the unwavering resolve of the nation, defended the motherland in a heroic manner and dealt a decisive blow to the adversary’s dastardly aggression. History will eternally record how, within a few hours, Pakistan’s defenders extinguished India’s unprovoked aggression with unmatched precision and resolve.”

Condemning the targeting of civilians by Indian forces, he added, “The blatant aggression against innocent civilians — including the martyrdom of children, women, and the elderly — and labeling them as terrorists is utterly shameful and against all international laws and norms.”

He further noted that Pakistan had offered neutral investigations into the matter, but India evaded this path. “Their offensive, based on false pretexts and bloated arrogance, received a befitting response — Alhamdulillah,” he said.

The Prime Minister concluded by affirming the nation’s pride in its armed forces, saying, “Pakistan takes immense pride in its brave sons; they are the crown jewels of the nation. Our martyrs have always been our pride, and the nation shall eternally remain indebted to them.”
