ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif chaired a review meeting on the establishment of Daanish Schools and Daanish University across the country.
The prime minister described the institutions as valuable national assets and directed authorities to expedite the construction of Daanish Schools in all four provinces, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
He also instructed officials to establish a technology campus of Daanish University in Muzaffarabad and ensure that school designs reflect local culture.
He emphasized that recruitment of teaching and administrative staff should be based strictly on merit and appreciated the progress made by the Ministry of Federal Education.
Officials informed the meeting that construction of 27 Daanish Schools and Daanish University was progressing, with the Islamabad Daanish School already operational.
Schools in Bagh, Bhimber, Sultanabad, Ghanche and Astore are nearing completion, with classes expected to begin in April 2027, while Daanish University is scheduled to start academic sessions in 2027.
