ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has departed on a six-day official visit to Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Iran, and Tajikistan.
He left Lahore aboard a special aircraft and arrived in Istanbul, accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Information Minister Atta Tarar, and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi.
During the visit, the Prime Minister will hold meetings with the leadership of friendly nations to discuss bilateral relations, regional cooperation, and matters of international significance. He is also expected to express gratitude for their support to Pakistan during recent tensions with India.
In addition, Prime Minister Sharif will participate in an international conference on glaciers scheduled to take place in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, on May 29 and 30.
He is scheduled to return to Pakistan on May 30 following the conclusion of his visit.
