PM Shehbaz vows crushing blow to terrorists

Says our enemies fear about Pakistan's economic strides and are attempting to destabilize it through terror.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday vowed to eliminate terrorism from Pakistan, declaring that militants will be dealt such a decisive defeat that they will never dare look towards the country again.

Chairing a security meeting in Islamabad, the Prime Minister reiterated his government’s commitment to eradicating terrorism, stating, “Our mission to uproot terrorism is a national jihad.”

The meeting was attended by federal ministers Azam Nazeer Tarar, Mohsin Naqvi, Ahsan Cheema, Attaullah Tarar and Minister of State Talal Chaudhry, along with provincial chief secretaries, IGPs, and senior officials from Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir. PM’s Adviser Rana Sanaullah and home ministers from provinces also participated.

PM Shehbaz stressed that enemies of Pakistan fear the country’s economic strides and are attempting to destabilize it through terror.

“All institutions and provinces deserve praise for their efforts,” he noted, assuring full federal support to strengthen provincial capacities in counter-terror operations.

He also lauded the bravery of security forces, saying, “Our soldiers and officers are fearlessly confronting terrorism day and night.”

Directives were issued to intensify crackdowns on smuggling and human trafficking networks. The Prime Minister instructed authorities to bring smugglers to justice and dismantle illicit networks threatening national security.
