ISLAMABAD: The parliamentary party of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) has strongly condemned recent provocative statements by Indian ministers regarding the occupation of AJK, vowing full support for Pakistan’s sovereignty and armed forces.

The condemnation came during a high-level meeting of the PML-N AJK parliamentary party, chaired by party president Shah Ghulam Qadir. The session was attended by senior leaders including former AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider, Col (R) Waqar Ahmed Noor, Amir Altaf, and others. Refugee representatives in the AJK Legislative Assembly including Ahmad Raza Qadri, Raja Muhammad Siddique, Chaudhry Ismail, Akmal Sargala, and Nisara Abbasi were also in attendance.

The meeting paid tribute to the Pakistan Army for its firm response to both internal extremist threats and hostile foreign agendas. It also strongly condemned recent cross-border violations, particularly Afghan incursions, as a violation of Pakistan’s territorial integrity.

Participants reiterated that the people of AJK will stand firmly with Pakistan in defending its borders, and will not support any decisions or actions that compromise the interests of the Kashmiri people or national unity.

The parliamentary party affirmed its unwavering commitment to the ideology of accession to Pakistan and declared that it would oppose any narrative or political process that undermines national interests or bypasses proper consultation.

Additionally, the party emphasized the essential role of Kashmiri refugees in the state’s political structure, calling for the protection of their voting rights and full representation in the democratic process.

The meeting concluded with a resolve that the PML-N AJK remains the true voice of the Kashmiri people and will continue to represent their aspirations with integrity and determination.
