Police Convoy Targeted, SHO Among Three Officers Injured

HANGU: An improvised explosive device (IED) attack targeted a convoy of senior police officers in the Doaba area of Hangu, injuring three police personnel, including a Station House Officer (SHO).

According to police sources, the convoy, which included SP Investigation Abdul Samad, DSP Thall Mujahid, and SHO Doaba Imran Uddin, came under attack when an IED exploded along their route.

Following the blast, an exchange of fire took place between police personnel and the attackers. The injured officers were identified as SHO Imran Uddin, Sub-Inspector Jihad Ali, and Special Branch official Abid.

The wounded officers were immediately shifted to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Hangu, where they are reported to be in stable condition.

It is worth mentioning that just a few days earlier, SP Operations Asad Zubair and three other police officers were martyred in a similar bomb blast in Hangu.
