LAKKI MARWAT: A police mobile came under a suicide attack in the Bakhmal Ahmadzai area of Lakki Marwat on Monday.
According to police officials, one police officer was martyred while six others sustained injuries in the powerful explosion.
The injured personnel were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
Police said that one of the suicide bombers detonated himself as the police vehicle approached, killing himself on the spot. The second attacker managed to flee the scene.
Following the blast, security forces launched a search operation in the surrounding area to track down the fleeing suspect. Initial reports suggest that both attackers were standing by the roadside, waiting for the police mobile to pass.
