ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party has nominated Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani as its candidate for the Senate chairman, the party announced here.
In this regard, the PPP Secretariat has issued a notification stating that Mr Gilani, a former prime minister, would contest election for the Senate top slot on the ticket of the party.
The upper house of parliament will hold its session soon as new members were recently elected by the national and provincial assemblies.
