President Approves Cancellation of Pakistan Day Parade

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has approved a summary to cancel the Pakistan Day parade and all related ceremonies scheduled for March 23, 2026.

According to reports, the government had recommended the cancellation as part of austerity measures and energy-saving efforts. The president accepted the proposal and granted formal approval.

In his statement, President Zardari emphasized that careful and responsible use of national resources is the duty of every citizen.

Meanwhile, the investiture ceremony (civil awards ceremony), which is usually held on Pakistan Day, has been rescheduled and will now take place on April 28, 2026.
