President for enhanced trade ties with Czech Republic, Ukraine

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari on Friday emphasized the need to strengthen Pakistan’s trade, investment, and cultural relations with the Czech Republic and Ukraine, during meetings with the country’s newly appointed ambassadors to both nations.

At Aiwan-e-Sadr, the president met with Shahryar Akbar Khan, Pakistan’s Ambassador-designate to the Czech Republic, and highlighted the country’s importance as a key European partner.

He stressed the need to boost bilateral trade and investment, encourage greater people-to-people contacts, and facilitate exchanges of parliamentary and cultural delegations to deepen ties.

In a separate meeting with Major General (r) Kunwar Adnan Ahmed Khan, Ambassador-designate to Ukraine, President Zardari reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to expanding mutually beneficial cooperation with Ukraine. He urged the envoy to focus on promoting economic, trade, and cultural relations between the two countries.

President Zardari expressed confidence that both ambassadors would work proactively to advance Pakistan’s interests and foster stronger bilateral partnerships.
