President of Belarus arriving on official visit today

Delegation of ministers and business persons reaches Islamabad ahead of president's visit.

ISLAMABAD: President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko is arriving in Islamabad on a three-day visit to Pakistan on Monday on the invitation of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.

On Sunday, a delegation comprising ministers and business persons arrived in Islamabad and was received by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi at the airport.

The delegation of Belarus was led by Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov.

In a statement, Foreign Office said the President Lukashenko will hold extensive talks with Prime Minister Sharif and discuss measures on bilateral cooperation and engagement.

Several agreements and memorandum of understandings will also be signed during the visit.
