President, PM Express Grief Over Irfan Siddiqui’s Death

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz have expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Senator Irfan Siddiqui.

They paid tribute to his lifelong contributions to journalism and politics, describing his death as a great loss for the nation.

President Zardari extended his condolences to the bereaved family, recognizing Senator Siddiqui’s invaluable services for the promotion of democracy in Pakistan. He prayed for the departed soul and offered sympathy to the family.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also expressed heartfelt condolences, praising Siddiqui’s distinguished career in both journalism and politics.

He said that Siddiqui upheld high traditions of integrity and public service throughout his life, adding that his contributions will always be remembered. He prayed for the senator’s soul to rest in peace and for strength to the grieving family.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz expressed profound grief and stated that Pakistani politics has lost a dignified and principled leader.

She said Irfan Siddiqui represented values of respect, intellect, and decency in politics and will be remembered for his remarkable legacy.
