President, Prime Minister Discuss National, Regional Affairs

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari held a meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to deliberate on pressing national and regional issues and matters of strategic importance, according to official sources.

The high-level meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, former Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, and National Security Adviser Lieutenant General Asim Malik.

During the meeting, participants conducted a comprehensive review of the country’s overall national security situation. They also examined the rapidly evolving regional landscape and assessed its potential implications for Pakistan’s stability and foreign policy.

In addition to security concerns, the leadership engaged in detailed consultations on key challenges facing the country, including economic pressures, energy demands, and internal security issues. The discussion highlighted the urgency of addressing these interconnected challenges through effective governance and policy measures.

The leaders stressed the importance of adopting a well-coordinated national strategy and enhancing institutional collaboration to ensure a unified and effective response.
