President reaffirms commitment to stronger Pakistan-Austria ties

ISLAMABAD: Outgoing Austrian Ambassador to Pakistan, Andrea Wicke, paid a farewell call on President Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr.

During the meeting, President Zardari reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong commitment to deepening its bilateral relations with Austria. He emphasized the need to expand cooperation in key areas, particularly trade, investment, and economic development.

Highlighting Pakistan’s potential, the President invited Austrian investors to explore promising opportunities in the country’s tourism sector. He also noted that Austrian companies could benefit from the expertise of Pakistan’s highly skilled IT professionals, offering potential for collaboration in the technology and services sectors.

President Zardari lauded Ambassador Wicke’s efforts in strengthening Pakistan-Austria relations during her tenure and expressed hope that the positive momentum in bilateral ties would continue. He also extended his best wishes to the Ambassador for her future assignments.
