ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has issued a strong message to authorities in Afghanistan, stating that Pakistan will not allow any militant groups to use Afghan territory to carry out attacks against it.
In his message on Pakistan Day (March 23), the president emphasized that groups such as “Fitna al-Khawarij” and “Fitna al-Hindustan” will not be given any opportunity to operate against Pakistan from across the border.
He further stated that Pakistan is committed to eliminating terrorism and will take decisive action against elements supported by India or its proxies that threaten regional peace and stability.
The president noted that Pakistan continues to face both internal and external challenges but has responded effectively through military operations and national unity.
He reiterated concerns over human rights violations in Jammu and Kashmir, calling it an unresolved issue of the subcontinent’s partition. He urged the international community to ensure the right to self-determination for the people of the region in line with UN resolutions.
