The ambassador delivered these remarks during a Mid-Autumn Festival poetry event held at the Chinese Embassy under the theme “Mid-Autumn: A Memorable Occasion.” Addressing a large gathering of attendees, he emphasized that during Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s recent visit to China, a 15-point joint action plan was approved, with a special focus on enhancing people-to-people exchanges and cultural ties.

He also highlighted the importance of President Asif Ali Zardari’s subsequent visit to China, which promoted Islamic culture alongside the rich heritage and simplicity of Chinese traditions, strengthening mutual understanding and cultural connections between the two nations.

Earlier, Ambassador Jiang elaborated on the literary and philosophical contributions of Su Shi, the great Chinese poet, scholar, and thinker, emphasizing his unique and enduring place in Chinese literature and poetry.

On this occasion, Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture, Aurangzeb Khan Khichi, expressed the hope that the Pak-China friendship would shine forever, like the full moon, noting that the moon holds a special place in Chinese culture, where many beautiful festivals are organized in its honor.
