President Wants Deeper Pakistan–Morocco Partnership

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has urged for further strengthening Pakistan–Morocco relations, rooted in common faith, shared values, and mutual respect, to unlock greater mutual benefits.

He made the remarks during a meeting with Moroccan Ambassador Mohamed Karmoune at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Monday. President Zardari reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to expanding cooperation with Morocco in trade, investment, cultural exchanges, and other sectors.

Thanking Morocco for its humanitarian assistance during the 2022 floods, he said such acts reflect the depth and warmth of bilateral friendship. The President stressed the need to boost economic collaboration, noting Africa’s emerging growth potential and Morocco’s strong position as a regional economic leader.

“Morocco’s remarkable development makes it a key driver of Africa’s economic future, and Pakistan looks forward to working closely to promote shared prosperity,” he remarked.

President Zardari also conveyed his best wishes for the health of King Mohammed VI and requested the Ambassador to deliver the goodwill and warm regards of the Pakistani people to Morocco’s leadership and citizens.
