President Zardari to address joint session of parliament

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has summoned the joint session of the National Assembly and Senate at 4pm on April 18.

The president will address the joint session of the upper and lower house of parliament. It will be his first address to the joint session of the parliament after being elected for the second time.

Earlier, the president had summoned the joint session on April 16, but it was cancelled and delayed for two days.

The joint session of the parliament has been summoned under Articles 54 (1) and 56 (3) of the Constitution. The earlier notification calling the session stands cancelled, said the President House.
