Prime Minister and Field Marshal Visit Flood-Affected Areas

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir visited flood-affected areas in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The Prime Minister and Field Marshal first arrived in Swat, where they were received by Federal Minister Amir Muqam. The Prime Minister conducted an aerial survey of the affected areas in Buner and Shangla to assess the flood situation and damage.

After visiting Swat, the Prime Minister and Field Marshal headed to Bunair to tour the flood-affected areas there as well.

Officials said emergency relief teams have been dispatched to provide food, clean water, and medical assistance to the affected communities. The government has also coordinated with local authorities to ensure that damaged infrastructure, including roads and bridges, is quickly repaired.

Prime Minister Sharif emphasized the importance of rapid disaster response and assured the affected families that the government would support rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts. He called on all provincial and federal agencies to work together to minimize the impact of future floods.
