QUETTA: A protest was held in Quetta under the Grand Health Alliance against a plan of the government to privatize hospitals in the province.
The protesters were carrying banners and placards and chanting slogans against the government for its anti-people step and said that they would not allow to materialize the plan.
A large number of hospital employees including paramedics attended the rally which turned into a big gathering outside the Civil Hospital.
The protesters said that instead of ensuring healthcare facilities to the masses, the government was trying to privatize hospitals.
They demanded that the chief minister Sarfraz Bugti should be removed for his failure to work for the welfare of the masses and starting anti-people policies soon after taking charge.
The protesters warned that if the government did not drop its plan, they would launch a protest movement that could include observing strikes in hispitals.
