Protest Outside Iranian Embassy in London Leads to Multiple Arrests

LONDON: Several people were arrested after a protest outside the Iranian Embassy in London turned violent, according to UK police.

Authorities said the demonstrators were taken into custody on multiple serious charges, including violent disorder, assault on emergency workers, damage to public and private property, and unlawful entry into diplomatic premises. Police also confirmed that one individual was arrested for removing the Iranian flag from the embassy roof and has been charged with criminal damage.

During the protest, police officers were targeted with various objects, resulting in minor injuries to four officers. Law enforcement officials added that protesters attempted to obstruct police while they were arresting the individual involved in removing the flag.

To prevent further unrest and restore order, police enforced a dispersal order under Section 35 outside the embassy. Investigations into the incident are ongoing, and additional legal action may follow.
