MUZAFFARABAD: Massive protests have erupted in the Doda district of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir over some blasphemous content posted on social media by a Hindutva activist.

According to Kashmir Media Service, protesters demanded strict punishment for the offender. In Bhaderwah, Muslims also observed a complete shutter-down strike in protest against the sacrilegious act.

All Parties Hurriyat Conference spokesperson Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas in a statement condemned the blasphemous act in Doda, calling it a deliberate attempt to stoke communal tensions and target the religious sentiments of Kashmiris.

Meanwhile, Muttahida Majlis-e-Ulema, headed by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, expressed deep concern over the passing of the Waqf Amendment Bill by the Indian Parliament.
