KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed a volatile trading session on Wednesday with sharp fluctuations during intraday trade.

The benchmark KSE-100 Index initially came under pressure, shedding as many as 720 points to fall to 183,230 points.

However, market sentiment later improved, leading to a strong recovery. The index rebounded sharply and surged by 775 points, reaching 184,726 points during trading.

Market analysts said the session reflected mixed investor sentiment, with early selling followed by value buying at lower levels. Ongoing economic developments and expectations regarding policy measures continue to influence market direction.

Despite intraday swings, the overall trend indicated resilience in the market as investors stepped in after the early decline.
