ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) discussed its future political strategy and key national and provincial matters, after which a joint parliamentary party statement was issued.

During the meeting, PTI leader Asad Qaiser read out the official statement. The statement outlined that torch-bearing rallies will be held on February 8, after Maghrib prayers, and a shutter-down strike will take place during the day. PTI has appealed to shopkeepers to join in the protest and stand in solidarity.

The health condition of the PTI’s founder, Imran Khan, was also a topic of concern at the meeting. The party demanded that his personal physician be granted immediate access to him, and announced that a memorandum will be presented to the Supreme Court to remind them of the matter.

During the session, the forced evacuation of residents from Tirah Valley was condemned. The participants called for the immediate rehabilitation of the residents, demanding that the affected population be swiftly relocated to their homes and that a permanent solution be found for their issues.
