PTI Chairman Rejects Claims of Talks With Prime Minister

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar has rejected claims that he held talks or meetings with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

Responding to a statement by the Prime Minister’s Coordinator Ikhtiar Wali Khan, Barrister Gohar said that he has had no contact with the Prime Minister in the past 10 days or even throughout the entire year. He added that if any such contact had taken place from either side, it would have been made public.

“Dialogue is a serious matter. Irresponsible statements regarding negotiations should be avoided, as they can further worsen the situation,” Barrister Gohar stated.

Earlier, Ikhtiar Wali Khan had claimed in an interview that Barrister Gohar approached the Prime Minister three times within 10 days seeking negotiations. The PTI chairman has firmly denied this claim, calling it baseless.

The development comes amid ongoing political tensions, with conflicting statements from the government and opposition regarding the possibility of dialogue.
