ISLAMABAD: Leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, held a sit-in outside the Supreme Court after being unable to secure a meeting with Chief Justice Yahya Afridi.

PTI officials were initially received by the Supreme Court registrars, Salman Akram Raja and Latif Khosa, for a brief 10-minute meeting. Following this, they met with the Attorney General.

Afridi later joined the protest outside the court, where chants and slogans were raised. Security forces were deployed in large numbers inside and outside the Supreme Court, and additional prisoner transport vehicles were stationed for security purposes.

Shafi Jan, a PTI leader, stated, “We have come to meet the Chief Justice. If we have to go to the constitutional court, we will do so.”
