PTI leader Barrister Ali Zafar said decisions regarding the party’s future strategy had been referred to the parliamentary party.
He said the meeting would discuss negotiations, possible protests and other key political and organisational matters.
According to Ali Zafar, participants would also consider access to the party’s founder, the release of women in custody and matters related to medical treatment.
However, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan rejected reports that all decision-making powers had been transferred to the parliamentary party.
Gohar clarified that the party’s core committee, political committee and parliamentary party were separate forums with distinct responsibilities.
He said the parliamentary party dealt only with parliamentary matters, and its decisions were subsequently presented to the core and political committees.
He maintained that final authority over major decisions rested with PTI founder Imran Khan.
