Punjab CM Attends PSL 11 Opening Match at Gaddafi Stadium

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz attended the opening match of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season at Gaddafi Stadium to support all participating teams and players.

Upon her arrival at the stadium, she was received by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi.

The PCB chairman also introduced Chief Minister Maryam to the owners of all eight franchises participating in PSL Season 11. On the occasion, the chief minister expressed her best wishes for the success of the tournament and extended goodwill to all teams.

Maryam Nawaz also met players and officials involved in the league where she appreciated their dedication and commitment to the game of cricket. She particularly lauded the efforts of international players who traveled to Pakistan to participate in PSL 11, acknowledging their contribution to promoting cricket in the country.

During her visit, the chief minister was introduced to players of Hyderabad Kings and Lahore Qalandars, where players and officials took group photographs with her.

She also expressed delight upon meeting legendary cricketer Wasim Akram at the stadium, noting her admiration for his contributions to cricket.

Wasim Akram, currently associated with the PCB, later entered the ground carrying the PSL 11 trophy in the presence of the chief minister.
