LAHORE: Rain and light showers in various cities across Pakistan, including Lahore, have made the weather pleasant and cooler.
In Lahore, light rain and drizzle were recorded late at night in different areas of the city, causing a drop in temperature. The minimum temperature is expected to be around 14°C, while the maximum may reach 22°C. Winds are likely to blow at a speed of 11 km/h. According to the Meteorological Department, the sky will remain cloudy with chances of more rain.
In the federal capital, Islamabad, rain has also started, improving the weather conditions. More rainfall is expected today, and the temperature has dropped, increasing the feeling of cold.
Meanwhile, in Karachi, the sky is partly cloudy, with chances of rain accompanied by thunder. The current temperature is recorded at 24°C, with a minimum of 23.2°C and a maximum expected to reach 32°C. Humidity levels are high at 87%, with northeast winds blowing at 8 km/h. Air pollution levels remain unhealthy, with particulate matter exceeding 157.
In Qalat and surrounding areas, heavy rain with thunder has been reported, bringing back colder weather. Similarly, continuous rain in Bara, Jamrud, and nearby regions has made the weather pleasant, with cool winds blowing.
Farmers say the recent rains are beneficial for crops such as wheat, while fruit trees like apricot, walnut, and plum are also thriving. However, reports of water accumulation in low-lying areas have been received, and rainfall continues in several regions.
