LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced that the Kacha area of Rajanpur has been completely cleared of criminals.
Speaking at a meeting on the operation in the Kacha region, she said that criminals had created a “state within a state” and spread fear in the region, often abducting people through honey-trap schemes.
She added that despite the operation being extremely challenging, decisive action was taken in the Kacha areas of Rahim Yar Khan and Rajanpur.
The Pakistan Army assisted police and other law enforcement agencies during the operation. Using advanced technology, each criminal was tracked, and drones were deployed to monitor movements. She also thanked the Sindh Police and Government of Sindh for their cooperation.
Maryam Nawaz stated that over 500 criminals surrendered, and the region is now under full government control. No casualties were reported during the operation.
The Kacha area has transformed from a zone of fear into a region where law and order prevails. She emphasized that those challenging the state’s authority would not be spared, and criminals in the Kacha area now have no place to hide.
