GWADAR: A large number of people belonging to different walks of life took out a rally against the target killings of laborers from Punjab in different parts of Balochistan.
Scores of laborers lost their lives when armed men targetted them at their workplaces or on roads but the law enforcement agencies failed to arrest them.
The government says that banned terror groups operating in the province are involved in it.
The rally started from Sarbandar Chowk and ended at Jaiti with the participants changing slogans against the killings of laborers and seeking action against terrorists.
The protesters under the banner of Baloch Yakjehti Committee demanded that the government should provide justice to the relatives of those killed by arresting and punishing the killers belonging to outlawed organizations such as BLA, BLF, BRA and BSO.
They also calked upon the government to bring the facilitators and perpetrators of this heinous crime to justice.
They killings of Punjabi laborers is aimed at pitching people of Punjab and Balochistan against each other and putting the federation at risk, they added.
They said that seven laborers were killed at Sarbandar on Wednesday shocked the locals as it was a peaceful town.
