Rare 19th-Century Quran Manuscript Displayed in Makkah

MAKKAH: A rare 19th-century copy of the Holy Quran is currently on display at the Quran Museum in Makkah, located in the Hira Cultural District.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, the historic manuscript reflects the deep reverence Muslims have held for the Quran throughout history, as well as the exceptional artistic craftsmanship used in its preservation and decoration.

The manuscript features intricate designs, including delicate patterns, gold embellishments, and floral motifs at the beginning, middle, and end, showcasing the rich tradition of Islamic art.

Officials said the manuscript has been carefully preserved over time to protect its fine artistic details and ensure it remains intact for future generations. The rare copy is saved at the King Abdulaziz Library, highlighting ongoing efforts to safeguard Islamic heritage.
