Records Of 55m Foreigners Holding US Visa Under Scrutiny

WASHINGTON: The U.S. government has announced a comprehensive review of records for 55 million foreign nationals holding U.S. visas.

The review aims to ensure compliance with immigration laws, and any violations could result in visa cancellations and deportation. Authorities will also check whether any individuals are involved in supporting terrorist activities.

The U.S. State Department confirmed that visa holders found violating the law will have their visas revoked and may be removed from the country. In a related move, the issuance of new visas for foreign truck drivers has been temporarily suspended.

This measure is part of broader efforts to enforce immigration regulations and strengthen national security.

The department emphasized that all visa holders, including tourists, students, and workers, are subject to scrutiny under this review.
