Removal of Nawaz pushed Pakistan into quagmire: Maryam

Says after removal of Sharif, a watch thief was installed who caused irreparable loss to nation.

LAHORE: PML-N chief organizer Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Sunday said Nawaz Sharif’s removal from power under a farce allegation of Iqama pushed Pakistan into the crises from which the country was still struggling to steer out.

Addressing a big public gathering in Lahore, she said had Nawaz not been removed and a watch thief not installed in his place the country would not have been in the current crises and mess.

She said it was not only difficult but impossible to defeat ‘Lion’, the election symbol of the PML-N, adding many others tried to remove the party from the scene but they themselves disappeared from the scene. She said the party would emerge with more power again to serve the nation.

Maryam also said the huge crowd over two weeks before arrival of the PML-N supremo from abroad indicated the future course and one can image how many people would turn out to welcome Nawaz on October 21.

Maryam said that the health card scheme, of which now someone else had become a champion, was actually launched by former prime minister Nawaz Sharif. She said good days were returning and with the masses’ support Nawaz will again come to power and put the country back on track of development and progress.
