DUBAI: Dubai has taken another groundbreaking step in the construction sector by introducing advanced robotic technology for building homes.

According to Dubai Municipality, the city will construct the world’s first fully robotic residential villa, marking a major milestone in the use of automation in construction.

Specially designed robots will carry out various stages of construction, including structural development and other core building tasks, through an automated system. Officials stated that the project will serve as a practical demonstration of the effective use of modern technology in the construction industry.

More than 25 local and international organizations are participating in the initiative, contributing their expertise and advanced technologies to ensure the project’s success.

The primary objective of the project is to make construction processes faster, safer, and more efficient, while also evaluating how effectively robots can perform routine construction activities.

Authorities added that if the pilot project proves successful, robotic technology could be adopted on a large scale for residential and commercial construction in Dubai and other countries, potentially setting a new direction for the global construction industry.
