Ronaldo Vows: “Insha’Allah, I Will Score 1,000 Goals”

DUBAI: Portuguese football legend Cristiano Ronaldo has been named Middle East Footballer of the Year for the third consecutive time.

The award was presented at the Globe Soccer Awards ceremony held in Dubai.

Ronaldo outshined prominent players like Karim Benzema, Salem Al-Dawsari, and Riyad Mahrez. Throughout 2025, he scored a total of 40 goals across all competitions, showcasing his remarkable form and consistency.

Currently playing for Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia, Ronaldo’s contract runs until mid-2027. During his emotional acceptance speech, the 40-year-old star stated that while continuing to play is challenging, his passion remains strong.

He added, “If injuries don’t stop me, Insha’Allah, I will score 1,000 goals.”
