ISLAMABAD: In light of the rising tensions between India and Pakistan, Russia and the United Kingdom have issued travel advisories for their citizens, urging caution and avoiding travel to certain areas in Pakistan.
The Russian embassy in Pakistan released a statement advising Russian citizens to refrain from traveling to Pakistan. The embassy stated that due to the current situation and growing tensions in India-Pakistan relations, Russian nationals should avoid visiting Pakistan until the situation stabilizes completely.
The statement mentioned that the advisory was issued in view of recent aggressive statements by officials and the possibility of escalating conflict between the two countries.
Meanwhile, the UK Foreign Office also issued a travel advisory, warning British citizens to avoid all travel within 10 kilometers of the India-Pakistan border. The UK government has advised its citizens to avoid non-essential travel and to stay updated on the evolving situation.
These international advisories reflect the delicate security situation in the region, with the potential for unexpected developments not being ruled out.
