At Islamabad Police Lines, Kolokoltsev inspected an impressive police parade, while special units presented a salute in his honour. The national anthems of Pakistan and Russia were also played during the ceremony.
The Russian minister was presented with the Pakistani national flag, which he respectfully kissed. He praised Islamabad Police personnel for their professionalism and performance and distributed awards among officers who had demonstrated outstanding service.
Islamabad Inspector General of Police Sohail Chaudhry, deputy inspectors general and other senior police officials were also present on the occasion.
Later, Kolokoltsev visited the Pakistan Monument with Talal Chaudhry, where a smartly turned-out contingent of the Federal Constabulary presented him with a salute.
The Russian interior minister also visited the Martyrs’ Memorial and laid a floral wreath to pay tribute to those who lost their lives in service.
During the visit, he admired the scenic views of Islamabad and the Margalla Hills from Shakarparian, praising the natural beauty of Pakistan’s capital.
