ISLAMABAD: Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin leading the largest delegation arrived in Islamabad early this morning to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation’s summit on Wednesday.
The delegation from Iran led by the country’s minister for minerals also landed at the airport early in the morning while Uzbekistan delegation will reach the capital before the start of the summit.
The 23rd meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of member countries will be held at the Jinnah Conversation Center in Islamabad chaired by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Wednesday.
Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin was received at the airport by Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif. The deputy prime minister of Russia has already reached the capital a day earlier.
Russia is being represented at the summit by the largest delegation whose members arrived in two groups. The delegation included 58 media persons.
Moreover, the first vice president of Iran has also arrived to represent his country in the summit.
All is set for the international meeting in Islamabad and the heads of government and other delegates attended a dinner at the Prime Minister House on Tuesday night.
