BARCELONA: A special reception was organized at the consulate of Pakistan in Barcelona to welcome a delegation from the Sargodha Chamber of Commerce.
The event aimed to strengthen ties between the Pakistani business community in Spain and promote bilateral trade relations.
The chief guest of the event was Pakistan’s Ambassador to Spain Dr. Zahoor Ahmed, who highlighted the vital economic role of overseas Pakistanis and the importance of their investments. He said overseas Pakistanis are not only a major source of foreign exchange but also ambassadors of Pakistan’s positive image on the global stage.
Consul General of Pakistan in Barcelona Murad Ali Wazir introduced the visiting delegation and expressed hope that this visit would open new avenues of business opportunities between Pakistan and Spain. He stressed the need to bring Pakistani products, services and craftsmanship to the European market.
The reception was attended by prominent businessmen, industrialists and trade representatives from Sargodha.
Young entrepreneur Ch. Amanat Hussain Mehr spoke about ongoing efforts to establish a direct flight between Pakistan and Barcelona in collaboration with the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, and noted that progress was being made in that regard.
Distinguished personalities from various sectors, community leaders, and local business figures were also present at the event. The participants hailed the reception as a significant step forward in enhancing mutual economic and trade relations between Pakistan and Spain.
The consulate presented honorary shields and traditional Ajrak shawls to members of the delegation, symbolizing a graceful gesture of Pakistani cultural heritage.
